2025 Resident and Associate Membership Applications will open on 29 April 2024.

If you would like to register for a reminder email, please enter your details here.

Every year, we have around 100 places to offer first-year residents and up to 50 places for Associate Members. While the majority of our residents enrol from rural and regional Queensland, we also have a number of residents from Brisbane, interstate and overseas.

Many of our residents’ mothers, grandmothers, friends or other family members have attended Duchesne, and are encouraged to join the Duchesne sisterhood – this is our most powerful endorsement.

FIND OUT MORE ABOUT COLLEGE LIFE

  • It’s a big decision to choose a college that’s right for you, so here are some tips to help you understand more about what life at Duchesne College is like:

  • Spend some time looking through the Student Life section of our website

  • Take a virtual tour through our facilities

  • Jump onto our social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)

  • Book a tour to get a first-hand view of our facilities and spaces

  • Drop by on Open Day – see our events page

  • Have a chat with one of our current students – just send us an email and we’ll set it up

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • The best way to get started is to visit our Policies & Procedures page and have a read through our Student Code of Conduct and other relevant documents so we’re all on the same page.

  • Our application form is easy to follow and it’s online. When you complete the online application form, please be sure to carefully consider your responses and share the great aspects of your character, personality and experiences with us so we can get to know you. Follow the word limit guideline as we use this process to get to know you and assess your fit with Duchesne.

  • You will also need to submit two references with your application form, along with the application fee payment of $110.

  • Next, we’ll invite you to attend a personal interview (face to face or via video call) with a member of the College Leadership team.

  • If your application process has been successful and we have capacity, you’ll receive an offer to live at Duchesne College!

  • If you’ve applied to Duchesne College prior to receiving your university offer or Confirmation of Enrolment, you may receive a conditional offer of residency with us.

  • At this point, we will issue a letter with your offer or conditional offer, and you’ll be asked to pay a deposit. Information about our fees is outlined here. You will need to accept your offer to live at Duchesne College in writing to confirm your place.

  • In the November prior to commencing at Duchesne, you’ll receive an enrolment contract. We make decisions about rooming and carpark allocations once we receive all the signed enrolment contracts.

  • It’s a good idea to look through the various bursaries and scholarships available to students to see if there’s something you can apply for to assist with your living expenses.
